Come home
to nature

A place to pause between the road and the fire. NOMADE homes stand in the most beautiful landscapes of Britain, from the coast to the moors.

Our vision

The architecture
of our first home

We believe humanity once shared a first home. Long before countries and national identities, before cities and borders divided the landscape, people sought a place to keep warm, gather around a fire and feel at home.

In our imagination, this home was simple: a frame of poles covered with hides, a roof rising towards the sky and a hearth within. A cave offered shelter. A home like this could be built in a place people chose for themselves, surrounded by nature.

In ancient rock art and traditional dwellings around the world, we see echoes of this first architecture. Some of its forms survive today. For us, they evoke a home shared by all peoples, a memory of a time when nature was home to all humanity.

The guest experience

A place
to pause

Wake up to the forest. Coffee by the window. An evening by the fire with those you love.

NOMADE creates places to stay where nature becomes part of everyday life.

The glass reflects the surrounding forest. The landscape continues across the facade, while the interior opens onto nature. A place to slow down and reconnect with yourself and those close to you.

NOMADE architecture

At home
in the landscape

NOMADE returns to this idea of home. We draw inspiration from the shared origins of human dwellings, preserved by each culture in its own way. The tapering silhouette sits gently within the landscape, leaving room for the sky, mountains and trees.

We bring this ancient form together with modern comfort, inviting you to return to your first home.

Across Britain

One home,
every landscape

Britain holds an astonishing range of landscapes within a few hours' travel: granite coasts and chalk downs, open moorland and ancient woodland, lakes, fells and estuaries. NOMADE places its homes where this diversity is felt most strongly, so that each stay is a different meeting between a person and the land.

The home itself stays the same. The landscape around it changes.

Project development

NOMADE
around the world

NOMADE is developing an international project to install homes in scenic locations, in partnership with landowners.

We plan to bring NOMADE homes to different countries, adapting each location's architecture and amenities to its climate, terrain and local requirements.

Who we work with

  • Farmers and estate owners with land in scenic locations
  • Private estates and country properties
  • Existing glamping sites and hotels

We take land on a leasehold basis or purchase it freehold. NOMADE designs, installs and operates the homes; the owner receives a long-term partner and a place that stays in harmony with the landscape.
